Sophie’s Debut…

Today Sophie is 3 months old and she has already made her “singing debut” at a local church in Kenya.  Dad is hoping she gets Momma’s beautiful singing voice.  Last weekend we visited Calvary Worship Center Ruai (which is also the location of Chrisitan Community School that we support) and we took Sophie along with us.  She has already visited several churches and projects that we support, and on this visit she made her “singing debut” (with two swahili songs nonetheless!) standing on stage with Mom and Dad as we sang.  At another church in Nakuru about a month ago, the entire congregation welcomed her by singing a song of blessing over her.  Even though she will not remember many of these experiences, we really want to enstill the value and importance of reaching out to others and sharing Christ’s love in her at a very early age.  Of course, we have to be cautious and wise with the places we take her and what we expose her to since she is still an infant, but we love that she is already “involved” in outreach.

On another note, during our visit we were able to pay for the plaster and finishing on the classroom buidling.  We are happy to report that it should be complete within the next two weeks.  Look for final pictures to come soon! (Current pics with windows and doors below).
