Our 2 year old and 2 month old…

Here is a much needed update on Sophie and Ethan…

Sophie:

On June 11 our little girl turned 2 years old. I can’t believe how fast these last two years have flown by. For her 2nd birthday we decided to have special events planned for Sophie throughout the day. We began the day at Java with her friends Lilith and Indira. Sophie was so excited leading up to her birthday that she was going to be 2 and get to blow out candles. So the girls ate muffins and Sophie got to blow out candles for the first of many times on her special day. After Java we came home and Sophie decorated cupcakes and watched Tangled (currently her favorite movie) with her friend Yasmin. After an eventful morning it was naptime so Sophie could be ready for the afternoon festivities. After naptime it was off to Village Market with Lindsay for Planet Yogurt and playtime at the playhouses. For dinner it was hamburgers and then time for presents. Sophie got presents from her Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles, cousins and family friends who sent things to make Sophie’s birthday very special. After presents Grammy brought out the special cake that she had made for Sophie and Sophie got to blow out candles for the last time. We then went out to send off a latern (just like they do on Tangled…thanks Mrs. Joyce and Mrs. Barbara) to conclude the birthday celebration. It was a great day for a very special little girl. Sophie is growing and learning so much every day. She is talking in full sentences (with her own pronunciation style), singing her abc’s (at least most of them…eleminapee), and counting to 10 (thanks Ernie!). She loves singing, dancing, taking care of her “Ethi-boy” and babies, playing outside, reading books, watching “tootoons”‘ and playing on the iPad.

Ethan:

It is hard to believe that in just a few days our sweet little man will be 2 months old. He is getting bigger everyday and starting flash his cute little smile. He is started to hold has head up and is really noticing things around him. He loves going for walks in the stroller and watching soccer with Daddy.
